Networking Research Page:
Overview
Our Networking research looks at two issues: the physical networks that connect
computers; and the communication protocols between devices/systems. The lab
emphasizes issues involved in the routing between devices in the network, the
Quality of Service (QoS) aspects of physical networks, and the perceived QoS
between end-user and networked systems. In the communication protocols arena,
we explore network/protocol architecture and application issues. The communication
architecture, such as client-server or peer-to-peer, affects the performance
of an application running over a distributed system.
