Proposals 1999, BME 272

The formal project proposals for 1999 may take one of two forms.  The first, immediately below, comes from your class handout:

Class Handout Format

be sure to name all principals, needs, etc.  Safety, FDA,  and ethical issues, mandatory in your final report, are optional at this time...

The second format allowed this year is from Richard C. Fries Text: "Reliable Design of Medical Devices", page 213

The Business Proposal

You must indicate which format you are using, do not mix the two...

Note:  A paper copy of the proposal is due to Dr. King by November 16.  This copy will be read and graded asap and returned.  You will have until Dec 1 to get the corrected proposal and your first progress report on to your bme project web site...

November 24, 1999  Please see Paul Clayton for information on getting your BME web site active for your project for this school year...

Web site construction:  I suggest that you use Frontpage to design your sites.   Please try to keep the sites easy to navigate.  I expect to see a clean entry, an easy link to your proposal, and a table that includes links to your progress reports and powerpoint presentations.  I need a means to communicate from the page to the group or the group leader...

For last years' better examples, look at projects 13, 19, 8, 1 (non-frames) or 21 (frames).

For good examples of web site design, I like: http://www.dsiegel.com/ and his links,  the links off of http://info.med.yale.edu/caim/manual/ are also very good, as are the links from: http://www.sev.com.au/webzone/design.htm .
